Velvet Everything

As I'm sure you've noticed by now, I got a nice little chop recently! ((6 inches gone!)) I've been debating for quite some time whether or whether not I should get the chop, and then finally when I decided on going forward with it, I had to wait sooo long for my appointment! But it actually worked out for the best because by the time it actually came around, I knew I was ready to get it done and I wasn't contemplating it anymore. Ha! ;) It's been so much fun styling my hair now, and I am so glad I did it!! If you know me well, you know that I rarely do anything new or exciting to my hair style... so I was pretty proud of myself for going through with it. Change is a good thing and it's just hair, so of course it will always grow back!!

Anyways... let's talk about VELVET. You'd have to be living under a rock to not notice that velvet is literally everywhere these days! From velvet tops to dresses, handbags to boots, and even swimwear, you can't go wrong! ((No seriously, I just got a new one-piece from Triangl and it is the softest velvet I've ever felt!!! I am obsessed!!)) When I saw these velvet leggings at the Zara sale, I knew I had to buy them! They are so much fun, so comfy, and the color is really beautiful too! I paired them with a super oversized white t-shirt and a pleated bomber to create this 'cool girl' look. Zach and I shot this right after my hair appointment, so I was really feeling my new hair + new look! Oh, and I cannot forget to mention these boots that I am wearing! I've been wearing them in the rain, snow, and everything in between! They are super durable while still looking trendy and cool! Definitely a must for living in NYC! :)

Hope you guys enjoy this look, and as always feel free to leave a comment below to let me know what you think about this outfit!
